The 2023 edition of the Danger Golf World Cup was one for the ages as Ireland came out victorious once again beating Mexico in the final. A tournament that wasn't without controversy as any normal World Cup is.
This tournament had a new addition for the year with physical hurdles on the pitch. At one point Taylor Mike Taylor was accused of illegally manoeuvring a hurdle to avoid contact. At another point, the host and owner of the hurdles, Iron Horlock, met his demise due to his own obstacles. Stuart Goodman, a highly skilled player from Lovely, executed a shot that ricocheted off one of the hurdles, ensuring Iron's elimination from the competition.
Vatican City were once again so close to seeing DGWC victory for the first time by reaching the semi-finals but were eliminated by a heroic performance by Matt Raftery of Ireland. Mexico went the whole tournament unbeaten until the final. And the biggest surprise of the day was England finishing bottom in 6th place.

This victory took Ireland into a league of their own in the World rankings of Danger Golf with 4 World Cup wins. More than any other team. Leaving England on their own in 2nd place with 3 titles.
