Possibly the most notorious team in the world of Danger Golf, England are three times winners of the DGWC. With Mr Ian Horlock as the only 100% confirmed squad member, this team are never far from controversy.
England only have one dedicated player. The various playing partners of Sir Ian Horlock have never lasted long enough on the team to be deemed as dedicated partners for the rogue Knight of the realm. You'll find his various partners in the "Other notable players" section below.
Known as one of the most consistent and talented player in the DGWC, Sir Ian Horlock is a Founding Father and has participated in all official Danger Golf World Cups. His record speaks for itself, being a double DGWC Champion. Despite his skill, his temper often lets him down, it is widely assumed this is due to hair loss. He is often the instigator of rifts in the England team with unrealistic expectations on his playing partners that ultimately leads to arguments and eliminations.
The current playing partner of Sir Ian Horlock, Ben Palmer is force to be reckoned with in Danger Golf. A winner with Sir Ian in 2021 in the final DGWC at Landor.
Winner of the inaugural Danger Golf World Cup in 2008 as playing partner to Sir Ian Horlock.
Part of the 2010 DGWC winning team, Chris Kernahan is one of the more notorious partners that Sir Ian Horlock has had. In 2010 Chris formed a strong partnership with his rogue partner, but had to depart the tournament early. Whitehead (see next) would sub in and win the trophy. In either 2013 or 2014 (no one remembers which) Kernahan and Horlock had a falling out of atomic proportions which has yet, or never will be, repaired.
Currently plying his trade on the Australian Danger Golf circuit, Mr Holt is a serious contender when he partakes in DGWC competition. Once finalist, Sam has been agonizingly close to winning before. One day those dreams will become reality...
Winner in 2010 with Sir Ian Horlock, Whitehead's affiliation with England was also not very long lived. The reasons for this are unknown at present time. Whitehead now plys is trade with the Lovely team where he secured a second DGWC title in 2017. This means that despite little golf knowledge or experience, Whitehead is one of the most decorated players in the world of Danger Golf.
The only player in Danger Golf to have a bench named after them. He's often seen as the desired alternative for a team, Maverick is often called in to step up and assist any team that calls his name. The silent assassin rarely speaks, but can be devastating in his game play. On several occasions he has proven pivotal to the success of a team and on others, he is more like Topper Harley and cracks under the pressure.
