Italy. The plucky underdogs of the Danger Golf world. Always the bridesmaid, never the bride... Until... 2019! That was the year when the Italians finally put their name into Danger Golf history. The most unlikely of winners came away with the trophy to everyone's delight.
The Italian stallions:
A Founding Father, Sir Lanzetta is extremely passionate when it comes to Danger Golf. He can often be heard cursing the heavens after a violation and is known as the enforcer of the rules. After losing to Bolivia in the 2011 final, Sir Lanzetta was MIA for over a year due to grief. He was also running his own pasta company to rival Dolmio.
Robert DePiano has been largely consistent and effective when participating in the DGWC. However, he was once accused, and found guilty, of breaking one of the fundamental rules in the game - Inviting a woman to watch. This caused tension within the Italian team and saw a poor performance for the pursuing years.Β
